Selection Process for IIRS Indian Institute Of Remote Sensing Library Assistant Jobs In Dehradun B.Lib, M.Lib Job1. The qualification prescribed and the benchmark are only the MINIMUM requirement and fulfilling the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for Written Test. The selection methodology for the recruitment involves (I) Written Test; and (II.) Skill Test. 2. Candidates whose applications are received against this advertisement will be short-listed based on the defined screening guidelines. Based on the academic performance and bio-data, the screening will be conducted and a higher cut-off percentage may be adopted to short-list candidates for taking-up Written Test. Those screened-in candidates alone will be called for Written Test. 3. The Written Test shall be conducted first. The Written Test will be conducted at Dehradun, however the exact date shall be announced later through our website www.iirs.gov.in. However, the Organisation reserves the right to cancel/change the written test date/ venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for written test to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail at least 3-4 week in advance before the test date. Shortlisted candidates for written test will also be able to download their call letters from our portal / website. 4. The final selection will be done, amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the Written Test. From amongst the candidates who qualify in the Skill Test with minimum 60% marks, empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in the Written Test subject to number of vacancies notified. In case of a ‘tie’ in written scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification shall be the ‘tie breaker’.In respect of recruitment to the posts of Technician-B, if there is a tie in written test scores and academic scores of notified qualification (ITI/NTC/NAC) in respect of two or more candidates, candidate possessing valid NAC score will have the preference over other candidates who do not possess NAC score. 5. No T.A. will be paid for attending the Written Test. Candidates attending the skill test will be reimbursed to and fro second class train fare by the shortest route from the city indicated in the on-line application from/to the place of Skill test (change of address and city for the purpose will not be entertained).
